1. About AutoHunter

AUTOHUNTER LIMITED (Company Number 9438447; NZBN 9429053756992), trading as AutoHunter, operates a New Zealand car-buying assistance and vehicle-finding referral service. These Terms apply to use of our website and enquiries made through our service.

2. Our Service

AutoHunter offers an initial conversation with Sean to discuss your vehicle needs and explain the process. Where appropriate and with your agreement, we may introduce you to our trusted partner Carpow for finance assessment and assistance exploring vehicles from its available stock.

Our introductory service is free to customers and there is no obligation to proceed with a referral or purchase. Other costs, fees or finance charges may apply to transactions arranged through third parties; review their terms before proceeding.

3. Our Role and Third-Party Partner

AutoHunter is not a lender and does not itself assess creditworthiness, approve finance, set lending terms or fund loans. Carpow and the relevant finance providers, as applicable, manage finance enquiries, applications, assessments, approvals and funding.

Vehicle availability, pricing, suitability, condition, warranties, delivery arrangements and contractual obligations must be confirmed with the relevant vehicle supplier and/or Carpow. A referral does not mean a particular vehicle or finance arrangement will be available.

4. Referral Commission

AutoHunter may receive a referral commission from Carpow if an eligible customer referred through AutoHunter completes a qualifying vehicle purchase and/or finance transaction. Any such commission is paid under our commercial arrangement with Carpow.

Customers should review all vehicle prices, finance fees and lending terms offered by the relevant provider before agreeing to proceed.

5. Your Responsibilities

Please provide accurate and current information when contacting AutoHunter or dealing with Carpow and any relevant finance provider.

You are responsible for reviewing the terms of any finance agreement, vehicle sale agreement, disclosures and other documentation before accepting them. Seek independent financial or legal advice if needed.

6. Finance and Vehicle Disclaimers

All finance applications are subject to the applicable lender’s assessment, responsible lending requirements, eligibility criteria and terms. Finance approval, a particular rate or vehicle availability is not guaranteed.

Information on our website is general in nature and does not constitute a personalised recommendation or guarantee that a vehicle or finance arrangement is suitable for you.

7. Consumer Rights and Liability

Nothing in these Terms excludes, restricts or modifies any right or remedy that cannot lawfully be excluded under New Zealand law, including rights under applicable consumer protection legislation.

To the extent permitted by law, AutoHunter is not responsible for decisions, services, products or contractual obligations of independent third parties, including Carpow, lenders and vehicle suppliers. We remain responsible for our own conduct and any obligations imposed on us by law.

8. Privacy and Website Use

Our handling of personal information is described in our Privacy Policy. Please do not use the website unlawfully, interfere with its operation or submit false or misleading enquiries.

We aim to keep website information accurate, but details may change and should be confirmed directly before you rely on them.

9. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Updated Terms will be published on this page with a revised date. Changes will not retrospectively remove rights or obligations that have already arisen under applicable law.
